Medina County Recorder's Office

Under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 317, the recorder must accept, index, and preserve all qualifying documents as part of the public record. The office indexes every document by grantor and grantee name for easy searching.

Recording fees in Medina County are $34 for the first two pages, effective since October 17, 2019, and $8 for each additional page. Marginal notations cost $4 each. Documents that do not meet format requirements face a $20 standardization fee under ORC 317.114. The rules are the same statewide: 10-point or larger font, paper sized between 8.5 by 11 and 8.5 by 14, black or blue ink, no highlighting, one-inch margins, three-inch top margin on the first page.

Types of Medina County Deed Records
